    • Shop the Look Above: Motorcycle Jacket: Forever 21 // Blouse: Pleione // Black Skinny Jeans: Ann Taylor // Boots: Nine West // Purse: Tory Burch // Sunglasses: Tory Burch // Hat: ASOS // Photos: Tyler McClelland

One of my fall fashion goals was to invest in a leather motorcycle jacket.  I’m still on the lookout for one and haven’t found one that fits correctly.  The arms are always too long or it is just too big in general.  I feel like I look like a little girl trying to play dress up.  In the meantime, I’ve been sporting this quilted faux leather motorcycle jacket from Forever 21 that features an asymmetrical zippered front, a notched lapel and slanted front pockets.  Read more

    Basic Blazer & Skinny Jeans

    • Shop the Look Above: Blazer: Topshop // Blouse: Ann Taylor // Skinny Jeans: Ann Taylor // Loafers: JCrew // Photos: Tyler McClelland

This fall season I was on the hunt for a new basic blazer and new pair of skinny jeans.  A classic blazer is one of the most basic, versatile pieces in any woman’s closet; however, the perfect blazer is a whole lot harder to find than you’d think.  Any woman who’s gone shopping for one knows that either the color is off, the cut or fit is all wrong, or the fabric is not what you are looking for.  Similarly, I have a hard time finding skinny jeans that are petite enough but also cater to my curves.  What’s a girl to do?  Read more

As a Virginia Tech Hokie, I love the maroon effect.  Any shade of maroon is my go to fall color because it goes well with my complexion.  I bought both the Exclusive for Intermix cut out back trench silk dress and Sam Edelman booties earlier this summer when I visited my sister in New York City.  We went shopping in Soho and I waited until the summer changed to fall to wear this silk dress and booties.  Now the Exclusive for Intermix dress is on sale for $200!  Read more

    Woman Crush Wednesday

    • Shop the Look Above: Cape: George J. Love // Dress: Topshop // Boots: Sam Edelman // Purse: Chloe // Hat: Eugenia Kim

Blake Lively is my woman crush.  She is gorgeous, talented, an amazing baker, has an enviable fashion sense and seems like the sweetest person ever.  During Blake’s pregnancy she looked better than I do every day.  🙂  I’m obsessed with the oversized trench from artisan Lindsey Thornburg she wore during her pregnancy.  The trench was previously sold on Blake’s Preserve website, which she is actually taking down unfortunately.
