    Miami Getaway // Part 1

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2588556″]

My closest girlfriends and I all live in different cities so we try to plan weekends to visit one another. My oldest and dearest friend, Tricia, lives in Los Angeles and organized a girls trip to South Beach Miami. I immediately jumped on the bandwagon for a girls weekend filled with sunshine, sand and mojitos. Most of my new outfits I got for Miami are from Tobi, because Tobi is affordable, but all the clothes are unique and have a laid back, West Coast vibe.

    Brunch at Casa de Amy

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2550051″]

Two weekends ago my friend Amy had a bunch of us girls over for brunch. Amy lived in Spain for over a year so all her dishes were authentic to what she ate while in Spain. Amy cooked Spanish tortillas, French flat bread with gruyere cheese and caramelized onions and salad with mixed greens, beets and goat cheese. The favorite of the day was the “tostada con tomate,” a specialty from the eastern coast of Spain. For beverages we had freshly juiced, orange pineapple and blackberry mint mimosas, and cafe con leche or espresso with fresh whipped cream. Amy really over did herself and now I’ll never be able to top her brunch. For dessert she even made fudge. I had Amy send over her amazing recipes!

    Move Your Lee

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2521839″]
Happy Friday everyone! Being petite, yet curvy, it’s hard to find jeans that fit me well. I have a small waist, but I have a bit of a bubble butt. 😉 I can thank my Momma for that. My bum is one of my favorite assets, but it’s hard to find jeans that will fit! Jeans will either be too big in the waist, or too small to fit over my bum. Therefore, I have to wear jeans with a bit of stretch in them. My new Lee skinny jeans fit perfectly!

    Floral Wrap Dress

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2511215″]
I love feminine, floral prints. Give me a piece of clothing with a floral print, and I’ll love it forever. So, when I saw this black Make Me Chic wrap dress with a yellow floral print, I had to have it. The dress is a pretty option for a girls night out, or for a date night with my husband. The material is a cotton blend, so the fabric is breathable, yet flattering. Plus, the dress is only $25, which is a total steal.  Read more

    Pajamas Trend

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2494504″]
The pajamas trend is really huge right now. Celebrities and other fashion/lifestyle bloggers have been sporting pajamas in public. As much as I think others look chic, I’ll stick to wearing pajamas inside my house.  Read more

    Miami Girls Weekend

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2451611″]

I’m headed to a girls weekend to Miami at the end of March! My best girlfriends and I live far apart from one another (from the east coast to the west coast) so we try to plan a girls trip once a year. Last May we celebrated my bachelorette/birthday party in Nashville. Then in June in Virginia, I saw everyone at my wedding. But that was about 8 months ago (time flies) so it’s about time we get together again! I also can’t believe I’ve been married for almost a year!  Read more

    Spring is in the Air!

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2444719″]

Spring is in the air! It’s been sunny and in the 70’s in Atlanta. I feel like we live in LA with zero humidity and perfect weather. One of my husband’s best friends and his wife were in town and were extremely lucky they got to experience the nice weather. Friday evening we grabbed dinner at our favorite pizza spot, Ribalta. Ribalta’s pizza is authentic Neapolitan cuisine. The restaurant is also conveniently walking distance from our condo.

    Hottotties

As I’ve said before, my weekend basics are comfy jeans, a cotton t-shirt and some kind of jacket depending on the weather. I’m always on the lookout for versatile, comfy, athleisure type clothes that I can wear to workout or that I can wear to brunch with my girlfriends. I recently collaborated with a new athleisure brand, Hottotties.
