When I saw this Madewell eyelet cutout dress in the store, I immediately purchased it. The dress has pretty details inspired by a vintage pinafore, with soft ruffles, contrasting buttons and subtle side cutouts (which makes the dress a little sexy). Plus, the dress is 100% cotton, which really helps in this Atlanta summer heat. So, now it’s pretty much my favorite summer dress.
I work closely with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation “AVLF.” AVLF is a non-profit that provides legal help to low-income individuals and families in the Fulton and Clayton counties. Specifically, a few of my other female coworkers and I are on the executive planning committee for AVLF’s yearly event in February titled “PurSHOEing Justice.” See recap of the February 2017PurSHOEing Justice event here.
My husband and I are constantly traveling, so it was nice to finally have a weekend at home in Atlanta. We had a family filled weekend! My husband’s step sister and her husband live in Sandy Springs. Then, his father and other sister came into town to visit for the weekend. His father lives in Blue Hill, Maine and his sister lives in Chicago.
