Hey all!  Hope everyone is having a nice week!  I read an article in February’s Cosmopolitan talking about job happiness and how you can be happier at any job.  Caroline Webb, an expert in behavioral science has worked to increase job satisfaction for hundreds of employees in a wide variety of jobs.  She’s outlined her tips in her new book ‘How to Have a Good Day.’ Caroline Webb’s theory is that good days don’t just happen – they’re made.  Everyone has ups and downs at their job, myself included.  However, I’ve tried to be really positive on a daily basis and I’m much happier at my job than I used to be.  Caroline’s tips to be happier at any job are:  Continue reading

I cannot believe Christmas is already over!  Time flies!  My fiancé and I didn’t get to Virginia until around 4pm on Christmas Eve.  Our flight was supposed to leave Atlanta at 9am on Christmas Eve morning, but our flight didn’t depart from Atlanta until 2:30pm due to the crazy thunderstorms in Atlanta.  Luckily we made it home in time for Christmas Eve dinner with my Mom’s side of the family.  My family traditions include having Christmas Eve dinner with my Mom and her side of the family and on Christmas morning I spend it with my Mom and sisters.  Christmas afternoon we head over to my Dad’s house and spend Christmas afternoon/evening with my Dad, Stepmom, Stepbrothers, Stepsisters and two nieces.   Continue reading

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!  Every family has their own Christmas/holiday traditions.  This was the first year my fiancé and I had to travel to visit family since we no longer live in Virginia.  We went to Hilton Head for a couple of days before Christmas to spend an early Christmas with Jeremy’s Mom, Stepdad and sister.  My fiancé’s Mom and Stepdad used to live in Virginia and retired and moved to Hilton Head last winter.  On Christmas Eve morning we flew out to Virginia to see my family. We always spend Christmas Eve with my Mom’s side of the family.  My Mom comes from a large family and they all live in northern Virginia.  My Mom has 5 brothers and sisters (my aunts and uncles) and almost all of them have kids (my cousins).  When we were younger we’d spend Christmas Eve at my Grandmother’s house, but the last couple of years my Mom has hosted it.  I love my crazy, large family.
