Atlanta’s 4th annual Culture Shock Show was held on Saturday October 17 at the Georgia World Congress Center.  The Culture Shock Show showcased art, talent and fashion from different cultures, creating a positive reflection of cultural appreciation in the diaspora.  The theme was “Africa Meets Asia” and highlighted the similarities of African and Asian cultures.

The mission of the Culture Shock Show is to promote cultural appreciation and expose new and talented artists. This event provided the perfect networking platform not only for designers, models and musicians, but for businesses of all sizes as well.  The show used choreography and fashion to tell stories of how culture has evolved over the years.  The Culture Shock show does this with future generations in mind, hoping to bring tomorrow’s society together through something as simple as ART.

The Culture Shock Show was lovely and I got to attend the VIP meet and greet with the models and fashion designers before the fashion show started.  I met all of the local business owners showcasing their latest designs.  During the show I had front row access to the fashion show.  All the designers and models were extremely talented!  The event was a huge success and was packed!  I’m so glad I attended the show and cannot wait til next year!

xx,

Lauren
