On Saturday June 18, 2016 I got married at Pippin Hill, a winery in Charlottesville Virginia. My wedding day was the best day of my life. I married the love of my life and we had our fairy tale wedding thanks to our loving friends and family.
Finding the perfect wedding dress is most every girls dream (it was definitely mine). I went shopping for my wedding dress over a year before my wedding day (super OCD I know). My Mother, two younger sisters and I visited wedding boutiques all over the Virginia/Washington D.C. area. My two favorite bridal boutiques are Lovely Bride and Hitched in Georgetown.
Hitched was the last stop on our wedding dress search. I know it sounds so cliche but when I saw my Amy Kuschel ‘Rosemary’ wedding dress hanging at Hitched, I knew it was the one. Then, after I tried it on, my Mom cried, I cried, and then it became the dress I wore as I walked down the aisle to marry my husband. Now, as I’m writing this, I’m tearing up thinking about it! TheAmy Kuschel ‘Rosemary’ wedding dress is a classic trumpet silhouette with delicate lace, silk organza and grosgrain ribbons.
Amy Kuschel is a wedding designer based out of San Francisco. Her dresses are classic, timeless and effortless. Each and every Amy Kuschel garment is made in San Francisco by talented, local seamstresses at their in-house studio or in neighboring workshops. Her wedding dresses are affordable compared to other high-end wedding dress designers. My Amy Kuschel ‘Rosemary’ wedding dress is one of the most beautiful and cherished items I own. I hope to be able to share it with a daughter one day.
I still need to create a La Vie Petite blog post capturing my wedding day (including discussing vendors, wedding day of tips and my favorite photos), but in the mean time you can see some wedding photos on Instagram here, here and here and a video here.
Amy Kuschel’s Ready to Wear Collection
Amy Kuschel and her talented team just launched a ‘Ready to Wear’ collection! Imagine my excitement when I found this out! With weddings there are so many events from an engagement party, to a bridal shower, to the rehearsal dinner, to a welcome brunch, and then the honeymoon, etc! I personally had so many wedding events and had to find dresses for each one! Amy Kuschel’s ready to wear collection is just as classic and timeless as her wedding gowns. I love my ‘Model T‘ dress in the Champagne color. An iconic shift dress never goes out of style. I wish I had this dress when I got married!
Check out Amy Kuschel’s Ready to Wear Collection and let me know what you think!
