Merry Christmas from my family to yours!  Every family has their own Christmas/holiday traditions.  This was the first year my fiancé and I had to travel to visit family since we no longer live in Virginia.  We went to Hilton Head for a couple of days before Christmas to spend an early Christmas with Jeremy’s Mom, Stepdad and sister.  My fiancé’s Mom and Stepdad used to live in Virginia and retired and moved to Hilton Head last winter.  On Christmas Eve morning we flew out to Virginia to see my family. We always spend Christmas Eve with my Mom’s side of the family.  My Mom comes from a large family and they all live in northern Virginia.  My Mom has 5 brothers and sisters (my aunts and uncles) and almost all of them have kids (my cousins).  When we were younger we’d spend Christmas Eve at my Grandmother’s house, but the last couple of years my Mom has hosted it.  I love my crazy, large family.

On Christmas Day my two younger sisters and I spend Christmas morning with my Mom being lazy, opening presents, having coffee and spending time together.  My middle sister lives in New York City and my youngest sister lives in Virginia, near my Mom.  I’ve always been extremely close to my sisters; to a point that my parents were worried we’d never make actual friends. 🙂  They are my best friends and will both be my Maids of Honor in my wedding in June.  Then around lunchtime we head over to my Dad and Stepmom’s house to spend time with them and my stepbrothers, stepsisters and two little nieces.  I have 4 stepsiblings so that makes 7 kids in total and a full house when we all get together.  My stepfamily is awesome and my Dad is the best.  He is such a goofball.  My Stepmom is an amazing cook and I always look forward to Christmas dinner at their house.  I love spending time with my family and my fiancé’s family over Christmas.

I hope everyone has a nice holiday. What are your family Christmas/holiday traditions?

xx,

Lauren
