I love a good deal – and I don’t know many people who don’t love a good deal.  When I lived in Virginia, there was a high-end consignment store right near my Mom’s house and a really nice one in Georgtown that I used to go to find designer clothes at discounted prices.  Since moving to Atlanta, I’ve heard that there are some great consignment stores, but I haven’t had time on the weekend to find them.  Luckily I was browsing online (because I try to do most of my shopping online) and found Thred UP, a large online consignment and thrift store. I do not claim to be wedding planning expert.  Reach out to my amazing wedding planner, Cody Grannis, or get inspiration from Style Me Pretty, the ultimate wedding blog, for the professional expertise.  However, wedding planning can be really stressful and a daunting task for many girls, but I’ve had quite the opposite experience.  I’ve loved planning my wedding and as much as I cannot wait to marry my fiancé in June, I’m sad I’m running out of things to plan (less than 5 months to go)!  🙂  I never had a Pinterest board of my “dream wedding” before I got engaged, which is really unbelievable since I’m the biggest girly girl and planner.  I always wanted to get married to my fiancé and of course I knew it would happen one day, but I never had actually planned out ideas for my future wedding before I got engaged.  But, I’m super OCD and a detail-oriented person.  I love fashion and interior design, but I don’t follow trends.  I know what I like and what I want, and that’s how I approached planning my wedding. Here are some tips and resources that may help you on your wedding planning journey…

Last weekend I traveled to LA to visit my friend Tricia for her 30th birthday!  My other friend Jess flew out from D.C., so we were united for the weekend!  Tricia and I have been friends since we were 12 years old and I’ve known Jess for almost 10 years.  They will be two of my bridesmaids in my wedding in June.  🙂  We had such an awesome weekend!  The weather was perfect and in the high 70’s and low 80’s the entire weekend.  Coming back to 30-degree weather was really hard.   Continue reading

I attended the Create & Cultivate conference this past weekend in Dallas, Texas with two of my friends from Washington D.C.: Marisa from Pieced Together and Ashlee from Cobalt Chronicles.  We had a blast at Create & Cultivate and exploring Dallas together!  Create & Cultivate is a conference and online platform for female entrepreneurs in the digital space.  The conference is held three times a year, nationwide and has been previously held in Brooklyn, Montauk, Los Angeles, Palm Springs and Portland.  It is a one-day program with workshops, mentor sessions and panels, as well as delicious cocktails, food, pop-up shops, photo booths, gift bags and more!
