As I stated in my last La Vie Petite post, holiday parties are in full swing! Saturday night we had my husband’s holiday party at the Fernbank, a Natural History Museum in Atlanta. Then, later this week I have a holiday party with my coworkers at my Partner’s home in Buckhead, Atlanta.
Holiday Dresses
I love getting dressed up for holiday parties. It’s the perfect time to wear sequins, velvet and tulle! Rent the Runway is a great resource to find the perfect holiday outfit without breaking the bank. When I saw this Dress the Population black sequined dress I knew I had to reserve it. Plus, it is only $45, which is less than some of the other dresses I’ve reserved in the past. The dress is super stretchy, but as it says in the reviews I’d size up. I also have a big bum so I always worry about full coverage back there. 🙂 The Dress the Population dress also comes in a beautiful burgundy color. I don’t think Rent the Runway had that color option when I rented, because I would have likely chosen that burgundy color. I included links to other beautiful sequined party dresses from Rent the Runway!
Jeremy’s holiday party at the Fernbank Museum was so much fun. We’d never been to the museum before, but it showcases various dinosaur bones and other artifacts. The exhibits were closed off, but the party was held in the Great Hall in the middle of the museum. The museum is shaped in a large circle and the Great Hall is 86 feet high and includes two enormous dinosaur skeletons. Admittedly I was worried about someone having too much to drink and trying to climb on the dinosaur bones, but luckily everyone behaved. We had a great time catching up with Jeremy’s coworkers/friends and it really put us in the holiday spirit! I’m looking forward to catching up with my own coworkers on Thursday!
xx,
Lauren
