Summer Chic Essentials

I’ve been all over the place this summer, from my wedding in Virginia, to my honeymoon in Italy, to my sister-in-law’s bachelorette party in Miami, to my friend’s bachelorette party in Las Vegas, plus so many other places this summer!  I’ll be headed to two other bachelorette parties at the end of August.  One in Cape May, which I’ve never been to so I’m really excited to attend and another one in Baltimore.  Baltimore is such a fun city and I’m looking forward to that as well!  Whenever I’m traveling and know I’m headed to the pool or a beach I always pack my must-haves.  I always need a cute bathing suit and cover up, like this new off the shoulder white lace romper I got online at Romwe!  I’ve gotten more conservative as I’ve gotten older and I’m not as comfortable walking around in only my bathing suit.  I love white in the summer and this lace romper is just the cutest!  It has a drawstring to adjust the size because it’s one size fits all.  It’s also another $20 purchase!  I love finding good deals and the romper shipped really quickly! I also have been searching for some new bathing suits and I found some really cute affordable ones at Adore Me!

In addition to a cute bathing suit and cover up I always need a fun pair of sunglasses and a hat to wear when I’m laying out.  I hate getting sun on my face so I always wear a big floppy hat or a fedora.  One of my favorite summer hats I own is my Tory Burch fedora.  It’s a couple of seasons old so it’s no longer available, but I found two really cute fedoras on Romwe’s website where I got my romper and they are only $6 (vs. my Tory Burch one was probably like $200).  Check out the more affordable fedoras from Romwe here and here.  I also always pack sunscreen with at least 30 SPF, preferably the Coppertone waterproof sport for my body and I always use Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch for my face.  I have combination/oily skin so I don’t like to put anything oily on my face.  Neutrogena has the best affordable skin care.  I also need to always have something to read, either a book on my Kindle paper white or a magazine.  Currently I’m reading “The Boys in the Boat” by Daniel James Brown.  It’s been out for a while and I know it’s supposed to be good, I’ve just been a little late catching up on my personal reading with how busy my summer has been!  But I cannot wait to lay out at my pool this weekend with my summer essentials!

What are some of your pool and beach summer essentials?

xx,

Lauren
