I work closely with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation “AVLF.” AVLF is a non-profit that provides legal help to low-income individuals and families in the Fulton and Clayton counties. Specifically, a few of my other female coworkers and I are on the executive planning committee for AVLF’s yearly event in February titled “PurSHOEing Justice.” See recap of the February 2017PurSHOEing Justice event here.

About 75% of AVLF’s clients are economically vulnerable women. PurSHOEing Justice is a designer shoe sale fundraiser held every year in February. The event recognizes the legal issues facing women in poverty. In addition, it raises awareness for AVLF’s programs designed to address them. Last year was the first time I was involved with the planning committee and it was such a rewarding and eye opening experience. I cannot wait for this February 2018 event. The committee members and I have already starting planning!
Tory Burch Shopping Party
To kick off the year, my committee and I hosted a shopping party at Tory Burch in Phipps plaza. We donated 20% of the proceeds to AVLF. If you haven’t checked out Tory Burch’s new Fall 2017 line, you are missing out! I wanted to buy everything in the store. However, I had to contain myself. So, I ended up purchasing my Tory Burch camera bag in the color “soft clay” and a pair of gold metallic Minnie flats. Although, the flats I’m wearing in these photos are the old Tory Burch Reva style, which I still love as well!
