One of my closest friends, Laken, got married the weekend of September 24.  She lives in Baltimore and had her wedding festivities in the Baltimore area. Friday September 23 her in-laws hosted her wedding rehearsal at the Boathouse Canton, a waterfront grille and seafood restaurant, on the waterfront of Tindeco Wharf in Baltimore’s renowned Harbor.  We had a private indoor and outdoor area at the Boathouse Canton with waterfront views of the Harbor.  The menu was amazing and the crab cakes were to die for.  My husband and I spent the evening catching up with Laken, her husband and both of their families.  On Saturday September 24 she got married at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House.

Laken and I met at Virginia Tech.  She was rushing Kappa Delta, the sorority I was in, and she was a year behind me in school.  I was really hoping I’d make a killer first impression on her, because I wanted her as my little sister in the sorority.  We immediately clicked because we are both such goofballs.  She ended up joining Kappa Delta and became my little sister in the sorority.  🙂

Laken and I have known each other for over 10 years now and we’ve been through so many life events together.  We got engaged around the same time and got married around the same time.  She asked me to be her Maid of Honor, which made me so happy.  It meant so much to me that she asked me.  I love her so much.
