Jeremy and I went to Hilton Head to spend some time with his family after Christmas. However, another reason we went to Hilton Head was to celebrate my brother-in-law’s 30th birthday on December 28!

Birthday Surprise

Jeremy’s step-sister Demi planned an elaborate 30th birthday celebration for her husband Nick. Nick knew he was going to Hilton Head, but thought him and Demi were staying with us at Jeremy’s parents house. Demi surprised Nick by renting out a beautiful beach house for the week and Nick’s immediately family and his best friend and his best friend’s family traveled from Virginia to celebrate. On the night of his surprise party Demi had caterers for dinner and went all out with decorations. She’s the best wife. Jeremy’s family is amazing and I feel so fortunate to have gained two new sisters and a brother-in-law whom I adore.

The next evening Demi, Nick and Nick’s family had dinner at my in-laws’ house and we ended up partying the night away. Jeremy and Molly are both musically talented and played live music for everyone. Jeremy played the drums and Molly sang and played the piano. We ended up having a huge dance party!

New Year’s Eve

After staying up late the prior two evenings, we had a low key New Year’s Eve. We relaxed and watched the ball drop. Then, immediately went to bed after midnight. On New Year’s Day we drove home to Atlanta. As much as I loved spending time with everyone in Hilton Head I was ready to sleep in my own bed. I still cannot believe it’s 2018. Hope everyone is getting a great start to the new year!
