Miami Getaway // Part 2

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”2601000″]

Check out my Miami Getaway // Part 1 post, for the first part of my Miami girls trip. My closest girlfriends and I all live in different cities so we try to plan weekends to visit one another. Tricia lives in Los Angeles, Jess lives in D.C., Laken lives in Baltimore, and Carly one of Tricia’s friends from Los Angeles came as well. So we had a fun girls weekend in South Beach Miami with 5 girls.

Sunday April 1

On Sunday we spent the day at the beach. The Shelborne has a private beach, so we rented an umbrella and beach chairs. My back unfortunately got sunburned on Saturday so I stayed under the umbrella most of the day on Sunday. I love just putting my toes in the sand, listening to the sound of the waves crashing, and not worrying about the million things I need to do when I get home. The best part about vacation is also just spending time with my girlfriends. We don’t see each other as much as I wish we could, so I cherish the times we can spend together.

Sunday evening we had dinner at the Shelborne’s Sarsaparilla Club Restaurant. The Sarsaparilla Club featured Americana-style Southeast Asian comfort food. The food was amazing. After dinner we went to the main South Beach drag and spent the night dancing at Mangos. Mangos is super touristy, but we had a blast.

Monday April 2

On Monday we spent the day at the pool since we all left for the airport at different times. My flight was at 5pm, but then ended up getting delayed because there were crazy tornado storms around the Atlanta area. I didn’t get home until close to 8pm, so I was exhausted, but well worth the trip.

My friend Jess currently lives in D.C., but is moving to Chicago, so our next trip may be to visit Jess and my sister-in-law Molly in Chicago!

xx,

Lauren
