Martha’s Vineyard Part 2

Lanie and Brian’s wedding was on Saturday October 15 at the Martha’s Vineyard Sailing Camp.  The Martha’s Vineyard Sailing Camp is on 15 wooded acres and sits high on a Bluff and overlooks the Lagoon Pond and outer Vineyard Haven Harbor.  The view for the wedding was spectacular and something out of a romantic movie.  I kept asking myself when Ryan Gosling would appear… Lanie and Brian’s wedding reception was held inside the Martha’s Vineyard Sailing Camp facility and featured timbered vaulted ceilings and a fieldstone fireplace. The entire wedding was so cozy and beautiful. Lanie really outdid herself on planning her wedding.

Friday and Sunday Morning Festivities

As I said in my last Martha’s Vineyard post recapping our Friday and Saturday morning festivities, I spent the weekend with my girlfriends and their significant others (including my date Lisa).  Lisa is one of my best friends and is still a single lady, so she was my lovely date for the weekend.  We’ve known each other since high school and lived together all throughout college.  It was so fabulous spending the entire weekend with her as my date.  We danced the night away and were just our old goofy selves.

Farewells

Sunday Lanie and Brian had a farewell breakfast at her family’s home in Oak Bluffs.  Lisa and I stopped by quickly to say our goodbyes to the newlyweds and then had to head to Vineyard Haven to catch the ferry back to the mainland where I flew out of Boston to head home.  I miss Lisa, Lanie and the rest of my friends and family all back in Virginia and D.C., so it was nice having a fun reunion weekend.

xx,

Lauren
