Sisters Weekend

My two younger sisters came to visit me this past weekend!  It was the first time they had visited me since I moved to Atlanta. I’m the oldest. Alissa, my middle sister lives in NYC and Caylen, my youngest sister lives in Arlington, VA near our parents and the rest of our extended family. We’ve always been close since we were babies. It’s hard living far away from them now, but I cherish the moments we are together!

Friday

Alissa landed first Friday morning, so I picked her up at the airport. We went to a noon yoga class at Evolution Yoga in Midtown. Our yoga instructor’s voice was so calming. After yoga, we went and grabbed lunch at Ton Ton, an udon restaurant in Ponce City Market’s Food Hall. Caylen’s plane landed while Alissa and I were shopping in Ponce City Market, so we met her back at my place. When Caylen arrived, the three of us went to Piedmont Park and toured Atlanta’s Botanical Gardens. The Botanical Gardens are one of my favorite places in the city, so I love taking visitors there. Since it was a Friday, the Gardens were virtually empty and the weather was spectacular. After spending the afternoon at Piedmont Park and the Botanical Gardens, we ate a relaxing dinner at my favorite local pizza spot, Ribalta.

Saturday

Saturday we had lunch at JCT Kitchen in Westside Provisions District. I didn’t realize they only served brunch on Sundays, which was disappointing, but the lunch was still great. After lunch we hosted a shopping party at Calypso St. Barth. Then, I drove my sisters around some of the beautiful local Atlanta neighborhoods, including Ansley Park and Virginia Highland. However, the highlight of the day was going to grab drinks at 9 Mile Station on Ponce City Market’s rooftop. The Atlanta city views from 9 Mile Station are unbeatable. After drinks we walked along the Atlanta Beltline and had dinner at BeetleCat in Inman Park. BeetleCat is an awesome oyster bar and seafood restaurant. Inman Park was super busy because Saturday was Inman Park festival. During the last full weekend in April each year, Inman Park presents a neighborhood festival. On Saturday I wore my Calypso St. Barth romper. Currently it’s on sale for $179 with an extra 30% off so about $125!

Sunday

Sunday my sisters left for the airport early. 🙁 It was so nice spending quality time with them this past weekend. Next time I’ll see them is in July. We are taking my Mom to Fort Lauderdale for her 60th birthday over July 4th holiday week. I cannot wait for the next all girls family trip!

xx,

Lauren
