After traveling to Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Paso Robles, Jeremy and I drove to Big Sur. Big Sur was our favorite spot during our Pacific Coast highway vacation. Hands down the views in Big Sur are more spectacular than any other views in California. While in Big Sur we stayed at Treebones, a family run “glamping” resort overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This was the first weekend back home in Atlanta since our 10 day vacation to California. Getting through the work week, even if it was only Tuesday to Friday, was a real struggle. I’m already missing the West Coast. Since Jeremy and I were wiped by the end of the week, we spent the weekend relaxing and rarely leaving our condo. The highlight of our weekend was going on a dinner date Saturday night and watching Game of Thrones Sunday night. Read more
After our weekend in Los Angeles, we headed north to Santa Barbara. Jeremy and I rented a lovely Ford Mustang convertible, which ended up being a breeze to drive. The drive from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara takes about 2 hours, depending on traffic. We stayed at the Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara during our visit. Read more
Jeremy and I are back from our 10 day California vacation. As much as it’s nice to be home, I’m already missing our time on the West Coast. We started in Los Angeles and drove up North on California State Route 1. We heard from multiple friends how amazing the drive is. So we decided to make a trip out of it and explore the various cities and towns along the coast. Read more
When I saw this Madewell eyelet cutout dress in the store, I immediately purchased it. The dress has pretty details inspired by a vintage pinafore, with soft ruffles, contrasting buttons and subtle side cutouts (which makes the dress a little sexy). Plus, the dress is 100% cotton, which really helps in this Atlanta summer heat. So, now it’s pretty much my favorite summer dress.
I work closely with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation “AVLF.” AVLF is a non-profit that provides legal help to low-income individuals and families in the Fulton and Clayton counties. Specifically, a few of my other female coworkers and I are on the executive planning committee for AVLF’s yearly event in February titled “PurSHOEing Justice.” See recap of the February 2017PurSHOEing Justice event here. My husband and I are constantly traveling, so it was nice to finally have a weekend at home in Atlanta. We had a family filled weekend! My husband’s step sister and her husband live in Sandy Springs. Then, his father and other sister came into town to visit for the weekend. His father lives in Blue Hill, Maine and his sister lives in Chicago. Read more
As I recapped in two of my prior posts (see post #1 and post #2), Fab’rik has become one of my favorite boutiques in Atlanta. The mission of the company is to provide high-style at an affordable price and to help others. So, another reason why I love Fab’rik is because it is a charitable organization.
As I recapped in one of my prior posts, I hosted a ‘Vacation Chic with La Vie Petite’ styling event at the Fab’rik City Walk boutique. During the event, I wore this Fab’rik paisley romper. After leaving the store that day, I ended up purchasing a lot of summer staples, including these Jack by BB Dakota crochet shorts. Both the romper and the shorts are currently on sale for $40 each! I’m wearing a size small in both for sizing reference. One of the selling points of Fab’rik is that everything in the store is on trend, but also under $100 (except for jeans). So, Fab’rik is much more affordable compared to other boutiques. Read more
This past weekend I had the pleasure of partnering with the boutique Fab’rik. Fab’rik’s mission is that everyone can feel beautiful without breaking the bank. Everything in the store is under $100, with the exception of jeans, as the company believes that every woman should invest in a quality pair of jeans. I really identify with the brand because it is affordable, but doesn’t sacrifice quality.
Over Memorial Day weekend I flew out to the west coast to visit one of my best friends, Katie, in San Francisco. San Francisco is one of my favorite cities. If it wasn’t so expensive, I would love to live there with my husband. On Sunday Katie and I ventured out to wine country. Napa was having its annual ‘BottleRock‘ music festival, so we went wine tasting in Sonoma instead of dealing with the craziness in Napa. Read more
As I recapped in my prior post, South Moon Under, one of my favorite Virginia boutiques, just opened two new stores in Atlanta. From now through May 29, you can get 15% off $150+ in stores and online with promo code “SUMMER15.” Valid through May 29. Read more
