    Cape May Weekend

This past weekend I went to Cape May for one of my best friend’s, Lanie’s bachelorette parties!  Lanie and I went to college together, were in the same sorority, were also roommates and were pretty much attached at the hip during college.  She’s one of the sweetest girls I know and we had such a blast in Cape May celebrating one of her last weekends before she becomes a married woman!  Her wedding will be in October in Martha’s Vineyard and I CANNOT WAIT!  Martha’s Vineyard is such a beautiful island and an October wedding is going to be stunning.  I had such a blast catching up with Lanie and the rest of the girls, and I didn’t want to sneak away from the festivities to take photos, so these photos are actually from Hilton Head, where I went two weekends ago for a family trip.   Continue reading

    Family Weekend at Hilton Head

This past weekend we went to Hilton Head to spend time with family.  My husband’s Mom and Stepdad retired and moved from Virginia to Hilton Head last winter.  They were looking for places to retire to, and once Jeremy found out he got his job offer in Atlanta, his parents purchased their place in Hilton Head.  We spent the weekend with my husband’s parents, his sister Molly and his sister’s best friend Sarah.

    Summer Chic Essentials

I’ve been all over the place this summer, from my wedding in Virginia, to my honeymoon in Italy, to my sister-in-law’s bachelorette party in Miami, to my friend’s bachelorette party in Las Vegas, plus so many other places this summer!  I’ll be headed to two other bachelorette parties at the end of August.  One in Cape May, which I’ve never been to so I’m really excited to attend and another one in Baltimore.  Baltimore is such a fun city and I’m looking forward to that as well!  Whenever I’m traveling and know I’m headed to the pool or a beach I always pack my must-haves.  I always need a cute bathing suit and cover up, like this new off the shoulder white lace romper I got online at Romwe!  I’ve gotten more conservative as I’ve gotten older and I’m not as comfortable walking around in only my bathing suit.  I love white in the summer and this lace romper is just the cutest!  It has a drawstring to adjust the size because it’s one size fits all.  It’s also another $20 purchase!  I love finding good deals and the romper shipped really quickly! I also have been searching for some new bathing suits and I found some really cute affordable ones at Adore Me!

    Florence and the Amalfi Coast

After Rome, we went to Florence and the Amalfi coast for the remainder of our honeymoon.  We took a train from Rome to Florence.  The first day we were in Florence we enjoyed a guided walking tour to learn the history of the city.  In the morning we skipped the line at Florence’s Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s masterpiece, ‘David.’  While I was taking photos of Michelangelo’s ‘David’ my Canon point and shoot camera died.  So, Florence was the last day I could take photos on my camera.  The rest of the photos I took while we were on our honeymoon was with my iPhone.

After we visited the Accademia Gallery, we crossed the Ponte Vecchio and got to skip the line to visit the Duomo.  In the afternoon we toured the Uffizi Gallery.  We had time to explore independently to see the art at our own pace.  The Uffizi Gallery was beyond stunning.  I could have stayed in the gallery for days.   Continue reading
