We spent 16 days in Italy for our honeymoon!  We went to Rome, Florence and the Amalfi Coast (we stayed in Positano and then on the island of Capri).  I’d never been to Italy before and it has been on the top of my travel bucket list.  We got married on Saturday June 18 and left on a red-eye flight Monday June 20 after our wedding.  Luckily the Atlanta airport had a non-stop flight to Rome.  In Rome we stayed in the Westin Excelsior in Rome, an upscale Starwood hotel in an elegant landmark building.  The Westin Excelsior is in a great location, only a 13-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain.   Continue reading

I’m always on the lookout for new e-commerce retail marketplaces, either to buy for myself, or to buy as gifts for friends and family.  I love finding smaller online companies or supporting local businesses with unique pieces and positive missions.  I recently stumbled upon Pasonga.  Pasonga is an e-commerce startup focusing on representing emerging designers from all around the world and their mission is “Wear the Difference”.  The company sells bathing suits, clothes, bags, shoes and accessories.  There is a small selection of items to buy, but everything is beautiful, vibrant and full of character.  The company’s mission statement is really inspiring.  I love how Pasonga’s e-commerce platform was built to empower emerging designers.  Continue reading
