    Sisters Weekend

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2660274″]
My two younger sisters came to visit me this past weekend!  It was the first time they had visited me since I moved to Atlanta. I’m the oldest. Alissa, my middle sister lives in NYC and Caylen, my youngest sister lives in Arlington, VA near our parents and the rest of our extended family. We’ve always been close since we were babies. It’s hard living far away from them now, but I cherish the moments we are together!

    Bersuse Towels

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2614765″]

While I was vacationing in Miami, I used my new Bersuse towel (see part 1 and part 2 recap of my Miami trip). Bersuse towels are high quality Turkish towels, but for an affordable price. The towels are hand-loomed in Turkey, and are %100 Turkish Cotton.  I’m obsessed with my orange and purple Bersuse towel. The towel is extremely soft and the colors are bright and beautiful.

So we had a fun girls weekend in South Beach Miami with 5 girls.

    Miami Getaway // Part 1

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2588556″]

My closest girlfriends and I all live in different cities so we try to plan weekends to visit one another. My oldest and dearest friend, Tricia, lives in Los Angeles and organized a girls trip to South Beach Miami. I immediately jumped on the bandwagon for a girls weekend filled with sunshine, sand and mojitos. Most of my new outfits I got for Miami are from Tobi, because Tobi is affordable, but all the clothes are unique and have a laid back, West Coast vibe.

    Brunch at Casa de Amy

    [show_shopthepost_widget id=”2550051″]

Two weekends ago my friend Amy had a bunch of us girls over for brunch. Amy lived in Spain for over a year so all her dishes were authentic to what she ate while in Spain. Amy cooked Spanish tortillas, French flat bread with gruyere cheese and caramelized onions and salad with mixed greens, beets and goat cheese. The favorite of the day was the “tostada con tomate,” a specialty from the eastern coast of Spain. For beverages we had freshly juiced, orange pineapple and blackberry mint mimosas, and cafe con leche or espresso with fresh whipped cream. Amy really over did herself and now I’ll never be able to top her brunch. For dessert she even made fudge. I had Amy send over her amazing recipes!

    Smile Brilliant Professional Teeth Whitening

I brush, floss and use mouthwash twice a day. However, I drink coffee and/or tea at least once a day, if not more, and unfortunately caffeine stains teeth. Every once in a while I like to use whitening strips. In the past I’ve used Crest White Strips, but I have very sensitive gums and Crest White Strips would always hurt my gums. I wanted to try a new teeth whitener brand, and heard good reviews about Smile Brilliant, so I tried them out.

    Lounging Around Attire

Like the rest of the east coast this past weekend, Atlanta had inclement weather, which basically shut the city down. The South does not know how to handle bad weather. Friday night and Saturday morning we got freezing ice and rain. I spent the weekend snuggled up on the couch. The only times I left the house were to go shopping for a bit on Saturday (because not even inclement weather can keep me from shopping) and to run errands on Sunday.  Read more

    Tula Skin Care Products

Over the years I’ve realized the importance of investing in quality skincare products. Luckily I’ve inherited great skin (thanks Mom and Dad), so I never used to care about spending a lot of money on skincare products.  However, it’s not just the way you look but also how you feel inside. There are so many great skincare products out there. Therefore, it’s really just a personal preference. But, I recently started using products from a new skincare company, TULA and I love them! Holidays 2016

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday with their loved ones!  Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Now that I live in Atlanta, I don’t see my family as much as I’d like to.  So, I look forward to the moments I can be home.  We spent the holidays in Virginia and will be heading to Hilton Head on Wednesday to see my husband’s family.   Read more

    Holiday Hostess Gifts

With Christmas just around the corner, holiday festivities are in full swing!  This past weekend we attended 3 holiday parties.  Friday evening I went to a white elephant gift exchange with girlfriends.  Then, Saturday morning my husband and I went to an ugly Christmas sweater brunch/birthday celebration.  Last, on Sunday we spent time with my coworkers.  I know how stressful it can be to host parties, so I always like to bring a host/hostess gift.  Every one of those parties we attended had a different vibe and group of friends, so I cater my gift based on how well I know the person hosting the event.  Read more
